How to say goodbye to someone in French?

1. Informal ways to say goodbye in French
The most basic way to say goodbye to someone, is just saying 'Au revoir'. Saying au revoir is very common. You can use this in any setting. Of course, there other options too:
- Au revoir!
- À plus (tard).
- À la prochaine.
- À bientôt.
- À demain / À la semaine prochaine / À lundi ...
- (Au revoir!) Bonne journée / Bon après-midi / Bonne soirée / Bonne nuit.
2. Formal ways to say goodbye in French
- Au revoir.
- (Au revoir.) Bonnen journée / Bon après-midi / Bonne soirée / Bonne nuit.
- Bonne continuation.
- (Au revoir.) Ravi(e) d’avoir fait votre connaissance.
